We need your help!
WNYMBA volunteers are the backbone of 11 trail systems across Western New York. Working in partnership with local land managers, we dedicate our time and resources to ensure these multi-use trails are well-maintained for everyone.
Volunteer Roles Overview:
- Trail Steward (Members Only): Lead and manage trail maintenance projects.
- Trail Crew (Members Only): Participate in hands-on trail work under the direction of Stewards.
- Trail Event Participant (Open to All): Join organized trail day events to support our efforts.
- Trail Patron (Open to All): Provide financial support for trail maintenance and preservation.
Important Note: To volunteer as a Steward or Crew member, you must be an active WNYMBA member. This is due to insurance requirements and agreements with our land managers. Non-members are welcome to participate in scheduled events or support us as Trail Patrons.
Why Membership Matters:
A strong WNYMBA membership demonstrates our collective commitment to trail maintenance and provides us with greater influence when working with land managers. Your membership helps us advocate for and protect the trails we all love! If you’re not yet a member, head over to imba.com/join/chapter/wnymba to join today and unlock all volunteer opportunities.
