Darien Trail Love: Tackling Wet Spots for Better Rides!
Big thanks to everyone who came out in the dreary weather to help fix some incredibly mucky sections of trail in Darien! Your dedication to improving our riding experience is truly appreciated.
Our crews tackled different ends of Shotgun Ridge as well as Beavertown. The ladies’ group worked at the Eastern entrance of Shotgun, addressing drainage issues, adding armoring, and placing gravel where it was needed.
Meanwhile, the guys’ crew focused on the first bridge down by the Route 20 double track, fixing up that notoriously soft section.
And let’s not forget the important work on Beavertown, where another crew was busy cleaning up and improving the trail.
Every bit of effort makes a huge difference, and thanks to our amazing volunteers, our trails are riding smoother and drier. We couldn’t do it without you!
