NOTICE: Trail Closures at Golden Hill [Now Open]

The NYS DEC has asked WNYMBA to advise riders that, due to damage caused by a severe windstorm on May 29th, a portion of the Red Loop (Upper) and the entire Blue Loop (Lower) at Golden Hill State Forest are temporarily closed. This storm brought down many large trees onto both trails and left hanging trees and dangerous conditions in several areas of both trails.

WNYMBA is working now on three separate bypasses to re-open the one affected section of the Red Loop. “Trail Closed” signs will be posted at both ends of this section of the Red Loop. The damage on the Blue Loop makes the trail totally impassable, and it is suggested that for the time being, riders do not attempt this trail at all.
