National Trails Day, held on the first Saturday of June, is a day dedicated to appreciating and maintaining the amazing trails we all enjoy. The Western New York Mountain Biking Association (WNYMBA), a chapter of the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA), is proud to be a steward of these public lands. Throughout the year, WNYMBA volunteers dedicate their time to building and maintaining mountain bike trails for all skill levels.
This year, join WNYMBA at McCarty Hill State Forest on June 1st for a fun-filled day celebrating National Trails Day! Kick things off at 10am with some trail maintenance on the XC Trail Connector. Lend a hand and help keep the trails you love in top shape. Bring your boots, water, work gloves, snacks, and a positive attitude – we’ll provide the rest. After a morning of hard work, relax and refuel with some delicious food on the grill at the Sunset Lot. Click here for NTD Event Details.
In the afternoon, the celebration continues with the Holimont Bike Race, starting at 4:30pm. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or just looking for a fun ride, be sure to bring your bike and enjoy the trails! You can find more details about the race on Facebook.
Join us for a day of camaraderie, giving back to the trails, and of course, some awesome mountain biking!
