Join WNYMBA for NTD work day at Sprague Brook Park as we address a couple trails that need TLC. The objective is to make both trails more sustainable and to create a short reroute on Tim's, tweak the Culver Connector and other projects (based on volunteer numbers) as needed.

What to bring:
Sturdy boots, gloves, and eye protection.
Water and a Snack
Any Personal Trail Tools (Tools will be provided)
A Positive Attitude!

We will park at the main parking lot where the bathrooms are. Upon filling out volunteer forms and headcount, we will break out into groups for the trails in need. Upon finishing the trail work, we will meet at the Culver Connector West entrance/exit for a dedication ceremony. Following the ceremony we will break out into group rides and wnymba will have a table over at the 42N/EC event near the casino. Merch/maps will also be available for purchase.

Like previous years, we will be camping out at Dewdrop Campground, so make sure you RSVP a site soon. Sites are already running low. There will be a WNYMBA common area for a group campfire at site 41, so bring a chair and your own beverages.

As most of you know, The Trails at Jake’s Rocks offer some of the best trails in the region. There’s something for everyone. We hope to see new riders and seasoned veterans.

Expect groups rides and shenanigans all weekend. See you there!

GUIDED CANOE / KAYAK TRIPS (WEATHER PERMITTING)
📍 Location: Everwild Land Trust’s Kyle’s Landing Preserve
🚣 Launch: Marden Cobb Waterway Launch, Red Bird Corners (Route 380 & Sinclair Drive) – Sinclairville, NY
🕒 Time: TBD
👥 Organizer: Everwild Land Trust (the future of the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy)
ℹ️ Details: Tentatively, weather permitting and conditions cooperating, a short 2.5-mile paddle down the upper Cassadaga Creek with an Everwild Land Trust guide. The trip will pass through several of the land trust’s preserves.
✅ Bring your own canoe or kayak & wear a PFD
✅ A few kayaks will be available for folks who don’t own one
✅ Shuttle provided from Kyle’s Landing Preserve to the launch point

BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE (NO-DROP GROUP RIDE)
📍 Location: Chautauqua Gorge State Forest — Hannum Rd. – Mayville, NY
🕒 Time: 10:00 AM
👥 Organizer: Western New York Mountain Bicycling Association (WNYMBA)
ℹ️ Details: Meet at the main parking lot at the end of Hannum Road. Ride will cover the “Gorge Loop” and the Chautauqua Rails to Trails.
✅ Bring water and a snack
✅ Wear a helmet!

FAMILY-FRIENDLY HIKE AT DOBBINS WOODS
📍 Location: CWC Dobbins Woods Preserve — 5273 Bly Hill Rd., Ashville, NY
🕒 Time: 10:00 AM
👥 Organizer: Everwild Land Trust (the future of the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy)
ℹ️ Details: Nature hike for all abilities and interests.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY HIKE + WAGON RIDES (HOMESTEAD LOOP PROJECT)
📍 Location: Boutwell Hill State Forest — Arab Hill Truck Trail – Cherry Creek, NY
🕒 Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
👥 Organizer: Chautauqua County Equestrian Club / Boutwell Hill Ski Club
ℹ️ Details: Free wagon rides for families over the Homestead Trail. Food will be provided. There is the possibility of a hike on the trail also.

FAMILY PICNIC & HIKE
📍 Location: Portland Town Park — Route 20, Brocton, NY

FAMILY GROUP HIKE (TRAIL WORK HIGHLIGHT)
📍 Location: Earl Cardot Eastside Overland Trail — Harris Hill State Forest Lot (corner of Gerry–Ellington Rd.) – Gerry, NY
🕒 Time: 1:00 PM
👥 Organizer: Chautauqua County Parks Commission and Parks Department
ℹ️ Details: Hike will highlight recent trail work. Length of hike can range from 2 miles to 3.5 miles.
✅ Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome.
