

“Wearing of the Green” Fat Bike Fun Ride at Allegany State Park

The Allegany State Park Environmental Education and Recreation Department and the Western New York Mountain Bike Association (WNYMBA) are excited about hosting another year of Fun Fat Bike Rides on Friday January 14, February 18, March 18 at 6:30 PM, with the ride starting at 6:45 PM. Bring warm clothes, a helmet, a head light, and sense of adventure. Check in will be at Red House Administration building. Although pre- registration is not required, if you are interested in borrowing a bike for the evening, please call (716) 354- 9101 ext 232, as bike availability is limited.
The 5–8-mile fun ride is for all levels and will last up to 2 hours, depending on the weather. Riders will wind through the Red House area of the park. If there is no snow, any bike is welcomed.
For the 18-Mar will will have an after party in the Red House picnic shelter near the administration building where we’ll have snacks and a grand celebration in honor of Ireland’s patron saint. Everyone is encourage to come in their best Irish grab. There will be prizes for best Irish dress and rumor has it even an Irish Jig contest. Please feel free to bring your beverage/snacks of choice.
