SUMMARY:"Wearing of the Green" Fat Bike Fun Ride at Allegany State Park
DESCRIPTION:The Allegany State Park Environmental Education and Recreation Department and the Western New York Mountain Bike Association (WNYMBA) are excited about hosting another year of Fun Fat Bike Rides on Friday January 14\, February 18\, March 18 at 6:30 PM\, with the ride starting at 6:45 PM. Bring warm clothes\, a helmet\, a head light\, and sense of adventure. Check in will be at Red House Administration building. Although pre- registration is not required\, if you are interested in borrowing a bike for the evening\, please call (716) 354- 9101 ext 232\, as bike availability is limited.\nThe 5–8-mile fun ride is for all levels and will last up to 2 hours\, depending on the weather. Riders will wind through the Red House area of the park. If there is no snow\, any bike is welcomed.  \nFor the 18-Mar will will have an after party in the Red House picnic shelter near the administration building where we’ll have snacks and a grand celebration in honor of Ireland’s patron saint. Everyone is encourage to come in their best Irish grab. There will be prizes for best Irish dress and rumor has it even an Irish Jig contest. Please feel free to bring your beverage/snacks of choice. DESCRIPTION:Let’s join the staff of ASP and send  2021 out with a family friendly Fat Bike ride at Allegany State Park. We’ll meet  6:00p at Camp Allegany (Red House). Plan to ride at 6:30p. Ride will be a no drop ride around the park. Dress for the weather and be sure to bring your lights for this one. After the ride we’ll have a bonfire and roast some marshmallows. People are welcome to bring their own food/snacks/beverages.

Come and enjoy the trails at Loud & Long Point State Park. We’ll have group rides for all skill levels. After the rides we’ll have the Mary Walker Memorial Chili Cookoff contest. (see contest details below)\, soft drinks\, warm drinks\, music\, prizes\, fun\, and some proper winter ales to celebrate the start of the season. \nSchedule is as follows: \n10:30a Meetup\n11:00a Group rides start\n2:00p Chili Cook-off tasting begins\n3:00p Cookoff voting ends and prizes awarded \nChili Cook-off \nWe’re asking participants to bring their favorite chili recipes to share for the event. Bring in a crockpot. We’ll supply power\, bowls\, utensils\, napkins/paper products\, soft drinks\, hot chocolate\, and proper winter ales. We’ll have prizes for top three entries as voted by attendees.
