SUMMARY:Give Big CHQ - Harris Hill Extension
DESCRIPTION:Join the Western New York Mountain Bicycling Association as we participate in the 2023 Give Big CHQ fundraiser for the shared-use trails at Harris Hill Extension (HHE)\, in Harris Hill State Forest\, Gerry\, NY. \nClick here on June 8th: https://www.givebigchq.org/organizations/wnymba \nThe purpose of this fundraiser is to fill a gap of funding for the trails at Harris Hill Extension. WNYMBA unfortunately did not secure the necessary funds for this project\, which is why we are reaching out to the Western New York community to help us reach our goal to remediate a few of the oldest trails at HHE (Flo’s Frolic\, Humpty Dumpty\, Rib Tickler\, No Dab). \nIn 2004\, Thom Wright began building trails for what is now known as Harris Hill Extension (HHE)\, a 17 mile shared-use trail system in rural Chautauqua County. HHE is a challenging and incredibly fun trail network that draws trail-users from the entire mid-Atlantic region. Thom has spent countless hours maintaining the trails during the summer months and dedicates many hours of his time grooming the trails during the winter months. It truly is a four-season destination. And\, of course\, HHE is also famous for the annual Harris Hill Hustle mountain bike race. \nYour donation will allow us to hire Trail Construction Associates to work their magic and add sustainability to these incredible trails. For many of us\, HHE represents our first taste of true singletrack mountain bike trails. For others\, HHE represents a challenging day of racing during the Hustle and a great weekend getaway for both summer and winter riding. \nWe ask that you give back to this trail network that has provided so many smiles and amazing memories over the years. The Give Big CHQ event is an all day virtual event on Thursday\, June 8th. We appreciate your support!

This is your opportunity to shape the direction of the club in 2023. \nFollowing the meeting\, we’ll have fat bike group rides on the Trails at Loud and at Long Point State Park. Brewhouse Bikes will be there with their demo fleet of fat bikes! \nAfter the group rides\, we’ll meet back at Loud Performance for our Mary Walker Chili Cookoff. Bring your best chili and enter to have your name enshrined on the Mary Walker Chili Cookoff trophy. \nThis event is always a good time. See you there!
