Than we will drive up to the Rain Trail Parking Lot/Hut on East McCarty Hill Rd around 10 for our ride. Post ride there is the Hilltap Festival at Spruce Lake for those that might be interested. DESCRIPTION:One of our Member Sean Murray (who teaches lessons at Holiday) has graciously worked out a special WNYMBA Members ski night! \nThis special event is open to wnymba club member and their immediate family. There are two options for lift passes this evening. One is lift ticket only\, the other is lift ticket with lesson. Free rentals are also included (via the link) but you must go to the customer service office at Holiday Valley and let them know you are with WNYMBA to revise your voucher paperwork. You will then take your paperwork to the main lodge bottom floor rental area to redeem your ski gear. \nThis will be a great winter event for members and family to try out skiing and or enjoy a winter night with your fellow club members. There will be a wnymba tent onsite selling club gear\, raffles\, and a hotdog grill operated by Sean. DESCRIPTION:In cooperation with Loud Performance\, join WNYMBA for Global Fat Bike Day\, 2020 (COVID Edition) and 42 North’s Beer Release of Rolling Fatty Imperial Stout. \nLike last year\, we will hold the event at Loud Performance (thanks\, Dee!). If there is snow on the ground\, then we hope to groom The Trails at Loud and the Trails at Long Point State Park for 9 miles of fat bike fun! \nAs an added bonus\, we will have a first taste of 42 North Brewing Company’s Rolling Fatty Imperial Stout! \nBecause WNYMBA prioritizes the health and safety of all attendees\, we do have a list of caveats: \n\nThere will be no demo bikes this year.\nBring your own food and beverages. There will not be a chili cook-off this year.\nLimit of 8 people inside the shop at any one time.\nPlease practice safe social distancing and wear a mask when necessary.\nTo keep the post-ride gathering small\, we will have 2 bonfires outside where we can hang out. Dress appropriately.\nPlease bring your own chairs.\nThe event is weather dependent.\n\nWe hope to see you there! \n

SUMMARY:Wednesday All Skill Levels Group Ride at Sprague Brook Park
DESCRIPTION:Our regular no one left behind Wednesday group ride now featuring emphasis on social distancing.\nRide will start promptly at 6:30 so we are able to finish ride before park closes. Per Erie County Park rules\, after Labor Day parks close at dusk which is somewhere within half hour of sunset. \nThis is an all levels no one left behind ride\, all are welcome beginner to advance. Wanna try mountain biking this is the ride for you. if you’re new to thew ride great\, but try to arrive at least 15 min early for orientation. \nMeet in the main parking lot (where the restrooms are) coming in the \nADDITIONAL INFORMATION: \nAll rides will be weather dependent. \nPlease use your judgement. \nThis is the weekly gathering for riders of all levels. Ride leaders can rotate\, so get your friends riding! \nHelmets are required . Also\, please make sure your bike is in proper working condition. No one wants to spend riding time fixing our bikes. \nIf you need a list of great shops in WNY\, there are many! Campus Wheel Works and Tom’s Pro Bike both offer rental MTB and Fat bikes. \nAll should have a spare tube\, multi-tool\, chain link\, and or CO2/pump in case of trail issue. \nAlso\, please bring water and any snacks you may want on the trail. \nRide length and skill level will depend on riders present and groups that are formed. \nSafety should be top priority for everyone. \nPost ride: Most of the time we hang in the lot for a bit\, than head over to the Colden Country Inn for a cool beverage and tasty food. \nThe more the merrier! Any questions please do not hesitate to post a question here or message the event organizers. \nALSO – download the Meetup app\, and you can directly message those who register – even during the ride. This is useful is anyone gets separated.
