Jane Eshbaugh, Holiday Valley’s Marketing Director recently contacted WNYMBA President Jim Allen to advise that the club had been selected to receive a one-time donation of $2000. This unsolicited donation came as a huge surprise and was very obviously very welcome in our group, where the annual budget wouldn’t keep the Goodyear blimp in the air for more than a couple of minutes.
Asked to comment, Allen said, “It’s possible that Jane saw something in the way we rallied over 13,000 votes in our recent bid for the “BellBuilt” grant. Then again, it’s also possible that she just felt sorry for us because we’re constantly covered in mud and bleeding from our most recent trail wounds!”

WNYMBA would like to thank Jane and the entire staff at Holiday Valley. It’s easy to take for granted the fact that we can park and ride at Holiday Valley at no charge. In fact, it’s an earned privilege that not many resorts offer and it exists because of a long history of cooperation and mutual respect between WNYMBA and Holiday Valley.
Stay tuned! We hope to be able to offer some exiting news as to how we intend to use this donation to promote even more and better mountain biking in Western New York in 2015.
